BELSTONE WINTER
Belstone Tor, Dartmoor, UK
After a long week and dwindling forecasts, the potential trip to the mountains has been postponed. However with the promise of snow on Dartmoor I felt I should at least go a make the most of it. With the freezing temperatures overnight I didn't want to risk heading into the central moorland as of the fear of getting stuck. With that in mind I headed to Belstone which is much more accessible from the major trunk roads and bumped into a few fellow photographers that obviously had the same idea! Unfortunately with the promise of some great light scuppered by passing snow showers it turned into a frustrating morning including a frantic session of trying to capture scenes in between sheltering from storm clouds, not to mention my broken tripod leg. Nevertheless I was happy with some of my images, although I wish there were more.
