Birch of Kinlochleven

Nr Kinlochleven, Scotland

A turbulent day of weather near Kinlochleven which in the end forced me back from a planned overnight camp in the Mamores. As I began the trek clouds of rain threatened overhead, after around 30 minuets high above Kinlochleven I watched as rain and snow showers passed over the valley. Making the most of the opportunity I dropped my rucksack and searched for compositions. I stumbled across this young silver birch which worked well against the dramatic sky behind.
