Blencathra Haze

I finally had the opportunity to spend the night wild camping on the summit of one of the Lake District's most celebrated mountains. Blencathra sits to the north west of the northern lakes and has commanding views over the valleys beyond. Unseasonable conditions for September meant for one of the most humid nights I've experience in the hills but with a possible cloud inversion forecast I was excited for sunrise. Come the morning I was greeted with extremely thick haze, which typically for a landscape photography isn't ideal. Although once the sun rose a little higher the warm light create an atmospheric scene.
