Coire Cruachan

Making my way up the last stretch to the bealach between Ben Cruachan and Meall Cuanail was heavy going. Deep fresh snow and not much of a route to follow meant I was running a little bit behind. As I stopped for a breather the full moon (snow moon) began to appear over the summit of Stob Garbh. I gladfully dropped my heavy pack and dived into the deep snow to find a composition. These boulders created a perfect foreground. This image turned out to be one of the only photographs I took from this trip after my tent was flattened that night and I retreated straight back down with my tail between my legs...
