Godrevy Glow
Gwithian, Cornwall, UK
I had visited this stretch of coast a few times over the past months but was very unlucky with the weather. On this occasion having the option of popping in for a surf or taking photos of what looked like some fantastic light approaching I jumped out the car and left my wetsuit behind, however after getting up close and personal with the crashing waves I wish I wore it anyway! As the light faded I headed back up to the coast path and watched the pastel colours grow stronger in the sky. I search for a composition that would compliment the scene and settled on these grasses blowing in the light winds. I set my shutter speed to capture the movement from the incoming swell and waited for the right moment before making my exposures and heading back to the car, albeit just as wet as I would have been surfing!
