Loch Etive

Ben Starav, Glencoe, Scotland

Making my way over the summit of Ben Starav after sunrise I went in search of a uninterrupted view of Loch Etive. Unfortunately, it involved a 200m decent before I found a vantage point, but with clear skies and light winds the extra hike was enjoyable. Ben Starav sits at the head of the loch which stretches almost 20 miles to the ocean and to the town of Oban. I knew the only way of capturing it all was with a wide panorama. As the cloud approached I made the not so enjoyable 200m climb back to the summit.
