Slioch Dawn

The Great Wilderness, Scotland

As the nights in mid summer up in the Scottish Highlands is so short it never really gets dark. Which is great from a photographic perspective as you have more time to shoot in the daylight but unfortunately it does mean much less sleep! Up out the tents at 3.30 am to witness a magical dawn. Slioch lies to the SW of A'Mhaigdean and is more commonly seen from the other side across Loch Maree from the road to Gairloch.
