I had had one of the worse nights in my tent and not a wink of sleep. Although the forecast was clear for the morning I was pretty surprised to see the sky ablaze when I woke up at 4.30 am. After struggling to get up the hill I had a few moment of great light but the winds made making any images a pretty torrid process. Nevertheless, it made up for the loss of sleep! As the morning progressed and I managed to find some foreground interest just before the last of the light hid underneath the cloud. It was a spectacular morning but I was glad to climb back into my tent for a nap. When I reached the car I started chatting to a guy who'd spent the night in his campervan, I couldn't help feel a little envious...
