TAVY DAWN

Tavy Cleave, Dartmoor, UK

Taken on camping trip with friends at Sharp Tor, conditions were mixed but our patience paid off. I saw this composition after a reccie the day before. After a failed sunrise due to clouds to the east I sat patiently waiting for a break in the clouds. As the sun appeared it framed the three tors that overlook Tavy Cleave. I composed the heather in the foreground and made my exposures before clouds spread overhead and the light faded.
