The Buckle

Beinn a'Chrulaiste, Glencoe, Scotland

This view of Buachaille Etive Mor from Beinn a'Chrulaiste has become a very popular location for hikers and photographers in recent years and it's easy to see why. Leaving the car in the early hours I clambered up the slopes in the dark. Although there was some nice light at sunrise cloud on the horizon prevented any direct light hitting the snow covered peak of the buckle. I decided to stay and wait just in case the light broke through which it eventually did but the moment was fleeting.
