The Dolmen
Penwith, Cornwall, UK
I took advantage of the good weather and headed to Lanyon Quoit situated in the middle of Penwith. Collections of stones like this scatter the county, mainly for sacrilegious reasons, this stone used to stand on four supporting legs until one huge storm in 1815 which blew it over and snapped one of the supports in half. A few years later the community raised enough money to re-erected on the remaining three legs and it's still standing to this day.
