An Teallach, The Great Wilderness, Scotland

Clambering out the tent into a frozen landscape whipped by strong winds wasn't the most appealing prospect but after camping 800m up one of Scotlands finest mountains to not see the view from the top almost seemed pointless. Reaching the summit of Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill just as the sun rose was quite a breathtaking moment. The spindrift catching the warm winter sunlight was a magical sight. Keeping myself clear of the edge of the cornice I tried to keep my camera as stable as I could in the wind. This would be the start of one of my most enjoyable yet most terrifying days in the mountains.
