Two Greats
Great End, Lake District, UK
Hoping to catch the last of the snow on the fells a week of warm weather soon put an end to that. However with a couple of days of fine weather and the potential for a cloud inversion it was too irresistible to pass up. I set out from Seathwaite and reached the summit in good time. I set up the tent and went in search of the ample views this peak has to offer which I must admit has one of the best vantage points in the Lake District. I settled on a view of Great Gable and a slight haze in the air created a warm light on the landscape.
