WATERN TOR GLOW

A wild and windy wild camp at Watern tor in mid June. Hiking in from Belstone which I would really recommend takes you through Taw Marsh, up and over Steeperton tor, onwards to Wild Tor before getting to Watern which is one of the most remote tors in the national park. I windy night meant I didn't get much sleep but a small gap under the low cloud at sunrise gave the landscape a wonderful pink glow and made up for the turbulent night!
