WAVES OF BAD A GHAILL
Loch Bad a Ghaill, Assynt, Scotland
On a trip to Belstone ridge on the northwestern tip of Dartmoor national park I was caught in a heavy rain storm, the rain was still falling as I captured the heavy leaded rain cloud as it passed overhead, the moment was fleeting but it did produce some stunning contrast and colours. Processing this image on the other hand has been an absolute pain and is the downside to exposure blending. Because of the strong winds the tree moved positions in each exposure meaning picking up shadow detail in the tree whilst retaining the contrast in the sky has really pushed the limits of the image quality and my camera. Nevertheless I am very pleased with the results.
