The following terms and conditions apply in respect of all of Guy Richardson’s workshop bookings and will form the basis of your contract with Guy Richardson.
- In the event that Guy Richardson cancels the workshop for any reason your payment will be refunded in full. The liability of Guy Richardson Photography is limited only to the amount that you have paid. Guy will make every effort to inform you of this cancellation at least 4 weeks before the start of the workshop. However every effort will be made to move the workshop to another date rather than to cancel it altogether.
- Guy Richardson accepts no responsibility or liability for clients who are unable to attend due to (but not limited to) illness, flight cancellation, family emergencies or other extenuating circumstances. Such eventualities are the responsibility of the client. It is advised that appropriate insurance is sought to cover these scenarios.
- If you cancel more than 6 weeks prior to the start of the workshop then any money paid will be refunded to you. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of the workshop then a partial payment of 50% will be refunded. If the workshop place is refilled then a full refund will be made.
- If you wish to cancel your booking please do so in writing. Email is not acceptable unless there is an attached signed document (pdf, word doc). The date the letter is received will be used to determine what refund will be made.
- Bookings are non-transferable (due to the bespoke nature) between participants and / or workshops but a compromise can be met if they are mutually beneficial.
- Guy Richardson reserves the right to change the workshop itinerary due to altered circumstances and conditions. Guy will make alternative arrangements as required but no refunds will be given for services that are not utilised as a result.
- All workshops require some physical fitness. The nature of landscape photography often requires at least a moderate level of walking. Also be aware that the weight of carrying photographic equipment can also affect mobility. If you have any concerns then please contact me beforehand.
- In by booking a workshop you accept the hazards involved in visiting remote areas. Guy will take every care to ensure known risks are pointed out to you before and during a workshop and inform you of the correct equipment needed. However, you retain full responsibility for your own personal safety and consequences of your actions. This includes all financial consequences, including emergency care, recovery and any loss of income sustained as a result of personal injury on the workshop event. Please note that many locations might be near deep and fast flowing water such as rivers or tidal locations which may also contain hidden hazards such as slippery rocks, loose scree etc. Some locations will be limited in mobile signal and no easy access to emergency facilities so if you have any concerns then please contact me beforehand.
- Guy Richardson does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from the negligent act and/or omission of Guy whilst acting in the course of their employment.
- Guy Richardson cannot be held responsible for; the consequences of any delays, expenses incurred or alterations caused by illness, weather, war, terrorism, political events, civil strife, natural disaster, technical difficulties or any event beyond my control.
- It is your own responsibility to make your transport arrangements. Guy Richardson Photography cannot take responsibility for changes or alterations to any travel arrangements.
- Due to the nature of landscape photography it is advised that appropriate clothing, equipment and footwear are used relative to the location and time of year. Guy Richardson Photography cannot bear responsibility for forgotten clothing or ill equipped clients.
- The weather plays a huge part in landscape photography and Guy Richardson Photography cannot accept any responsibility over the conditions during a workshop. Itineraries agreed beforehand should be used as a guide. Should we encounter prolonged periods of adverse weather every effort will be made to either move the workshop date or retreat to suitable locations.
- Guy Richardson Photography is unable to accept bookings from persons under 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult at all times.
