Cairngorm Plateau

Cairngorm Plateau

Cairngorms, Scotland

What must be one of the most memorial places I've witnessed in Scotland. The Cairngorm plateau is a vast area of raised mountainous terrain running from Cairngorm to Ben Macdui, an inhospitable place at anytime of year let alone in the depths of winter. Although there was a sustained wind of 30mph we were fortunate. The wind blown snow created some much needed foreground interest across this featureless terrain.
