Raven's Rise

Red Screes is a fantastic high peak that can be accessed with relative ease from Kirkstone Pass, a twisty road that leads from Glenridding to Ambleside. Heading over from my home in Durham I have to allow for the 2 hour long drive so having a peak I can reach quickly makes the early starts a little more bearable. Arriving just before sunrise mist and fog began to evelope the frozen peak which had a layer of hoar frost. As the fog began to briefly clear the sun was diffused which made for exposing for this image a little easier.
